Recently, I watched a TED video that puts a quirky spin on urban planning, design and environmental interventions. The video covers Natalie Jeremijenko, a professor at NYU who has started xDesign Environmental Health Clinic.
xDesign, unlike a traditional clinic, seeks to ‘prescribe creative health solutions for the environment’ through a combination of science, art and design. At first glance, projects like talking to fish and getting mice drunk may seem a bit out there but the method behind Jeremijenko’s madness is fascinating.
