USC’s Visions and Voices will be presenting Taking the Long View: Design and the Nonprofit on November 3, 2010 at 7 pm in Bovard Auditorium on USC’s campus.
This event presents an unique opportunity to learn about the motivations and effects of design on humanitarian aid and cancer care and will feature a panel of landscape architects from Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres (Lily Jencks) and Architecture for Humanity (Cameron Sinclair) – two international non-profit companies which use design in to address issues which may not necessarily come immediately to mind when one thinks of urban design and landscape architecture.
The event is open to all and is free of charge.
For the event flyer from Visions and Voices at USC, which also has brief descriptions of the two non-profits mentioned above, please click here: Taking the Long View.
