Photo Blog II: The Blue Line

In honor of RideShare Week  in Los Angeles this week, we bring you a common sight in parts of Los Angeles: The Blue Line.

This year marked the 20th Year Anniversary of the Metro Blue line this year.  The Blue Line originally opened July 14, 1990 and has spurred other rail lines including the under-construction “rail to the sea” that will one day connect downtown Los Angeles to USC, and eventually to Santa Monica.

Editors’ Note: Normally, we would post from our submissions, but since we’re doing this post in honor of Rideshare week, and we haven’t gotten any submissions about our Metro system, we felt it best to show you perspectives from outside sources you can find online, because they can be thought provoking all the same. The picture on the left is from City-Data.com, and the one from the right is from http://www.laist.com.
